Antique Japanese folding screen painting (byōbu) in sumi ink, mineral colors, gesso (moriage) and gold leaf (kinpaku) on paper, a detail mounted in two panel format on wooden frames with paper hinges, textile border and lacquered molding, depicting Chinese children (karako) fishing on shore and off a dragon boat, as well as playing go, under the supervision of an elegant Court lady.
